The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Florida State Seminoles meet in Dublin on Saturday in the biggest game of Week 0 in college football, and I'm here to help you kick off the season with a Georgia Tech vs. Florida State same-game parlay.
The Seminoles enter the year with a number of new faces after the departure of several key players from a team that went undefeated in the 2023 regular season.
Meanwhile, coach Brent Key has gotten the Yellow Jackets back on track to qualify for their first bowl game since 2018.
For this pivotal ACC matchup, we will analyze this game using a same-game parlay, which is a great way to combine correlated outcomes into one bet.
FSU has the advantage on both offense and defense, but we see some early sharp money flowing to Tech. Let's dive into the matchup and predict the Week 0 Florida State vs Georgia Tech college football same-game parlay.
Georgia Tech vs Florida State Same-Game Parlay: +414 Odds
Pick 1: Roydell Williams rushing yards over 66.5. Pick 2: First half points under 28.5. Pick 3: DJ Uiagalelei passing yards under 231.5.

Georgia Tech vs. Florida State Same Game Parlay Pick #1: Roydell Williams rushes over 66.5 yards
The Yellow Jackets have shown progress since Key took over as head coach, but they had one glaring weakness last season: Their defense struggled to stop the run.
By any metric, it wasn't enough for Georgia Tech: Key's teams ranked in the bottom four in the country in yards per carry (5.4) and rushing yards per game allowed (225.7).
Over the course of the season, the Yellow Jackets have allowed the running backs of nine of their 11 Power 5 opponents to beat this same rushing total.
So the first leg of my same-game parlay is for Roydell Williams to beat the 66.5 yard rushing prop on FanDuel, which is the number I'll include in my parlay to 69.5.
The Alabama transfer was second on the team in rushing yards (560) but led the Crimson Tide among leading rushers with an average of 5.0 yards per attempt.
Williams must be salivating at the opportunity to face a weak Georgia Tech defense behind this veteran Seminole offensive line, a unit with 190 career starts that should be able to push defenses around.
FSU also has a new quarterback known for his success with play-action passes, so Williams will likely be receiving passes on the ground often and early.
Georgia Tech vs. Florida State Same Game Parlay Pick #2: Under 28.5 in the first half
Thinking about this game, it feels like it might be off to a slow start for a few reasons.
For one, this will be the first game of the year for both teams facing familiar conference opponents, and adding in the fact that it will be played in Ireland, it's simply unfamiliar grounds for both schools.
Additionally, Florida State will have a new quarterback and receivers in practice, and coach Mike Norvell is likely to keep the game plan mundane in order to get DJ Uiagalelei in rhythm early on.
On the other side of the field, Key should be more familiar with his roster and the returning players, but the key option for Georgia Tech's offense is running quarterback Haynes King, which dovetails nicely with the strengths of the Seminoles' defense.
FSU had one of the best secondaries in the country last season and is one of the groups on the team that returns a lot of that core material, so I think this will be an early struggle for King.
Another factor that could come into play here is the weather forecast predicting rain throughout the day and high winds at kickoff, which, if true, would be another blow to Tech's passing attack and another reason to expect more runs early on.
Georgia Tech vs. Florida State Same Game Parlay Pick #3: DJ Uiagalelei Under 231.5 Passing Yards
The final leg of our parlay, which correlates with both of my previous plays, is FSU’s Uiagalelei falling to a 231.5-yard passing prop.
Instead of restating what I think about Florida State's game plan, here are some of Uiagalelei's career stats: Last season at Oregon State, he failed to eclipse this mark in three of nine games against Power 5 opponents.
Over his final two seasons at Clemson, he only topped that passing total twice in 21 starts against P5 teams.
So we expect to see him play in his first game at Florida State on a neutral field in Ireland, where it may be rainy or humid. Also, keep in mind that he'll be throwing passes to a new group of receivers after Florida State's top three players from last season left the program.
I don't buy that story, especially since the way they attack Georgia Tech is through the ground game. Another interesting point is that offensive coordinator Alex Atkins is suspended for the first three games of the year.
Norvell will ultimately be the play-caller, but the game plan could be one that emphasizes easy starts and the run for Uiagalelei.
