Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest soccer players of all time, has taken a new step in his career. After dominating the soccer world for nearly two decades, Ronaldo decided to jump into a career as a content creator, and his first step was to launch his YouTube channel, “UR Cristiano.” Within hours of announcing the launch of his YouTube channel, Ronaldo broke a “world record” by becoming the fastest channel in the platform's history to reach 1 million subscribers. Not only that, but within 24 hours, Ronaldo's YouTube account reached 10 million subscribers, also a world record.
Ronaldo is already one of the most followed people on social media platforms, with 112.5 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), 170 million on Facebook and 636 million on Instagram.
“The wait is over. My YouTube channel is finally here! Subscribe and join me on this new journey,” Ronaldo posted on his social media accounts on Wednesday, announcing the start of his new journey.

Ronaldo celebrated the channel's launch with videos including a teaser trailer and a fun quiz game with his partner Georgina Rodrigues. The channel also featured footage of the Portuguese footballer coming face to face with a wax figure of himself at Madame Tussauds.
The record for hitting 10 million subscribers on YouTube was previously held by Hamster Combat, who achieved the milestone in just seven days. Ronaldo's channel already has over 12 million subscribers and continues to grow at an unprecedented pace.
It wouldn't be a surprise to see the veteran striker, who currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, break a few more records on YouTube in the future.
