Five people were injured as a result of a cutter attack on the Dam Square in Amsterdam. The location of the incident was separated by police security guards, and a rescue helicopter also landed in the middle of the square. The assailant has already been captured by police and is investigating his motives.
Dutch police say there was an attack in Sint Nicola Astrad, in the heart of Amsterdam, using a knife that injured five people.
Five ambulances and rescue helicopters were sent to the location and landed at Dam Square.

The location of the incident was secured by police security guards. Officers will encourage them not to come to the square and provide services with a place to carry out their activities.
The knife stab wound took place in front of the Dutch quilt fabric store at Niechyzijds Voorburgwal. In an interview with the portal, a store employee said that passersby who wanted to evacuate heard a knock on the shop’s website where he was terrified.

Police reported that the suspect had been arrested. “At this point, there is no information on the cause or motivation of the knife attack. This is part of our research,” they said.
Officials are also encouraging event witnesses to provide photos and recordings that will help them determine the course of the attack.
