Everfox (formerly Forcepoint Federal), a global high assurance cybersecurity leader, announced it has completed its acquisition of Garrison Technology Ltd. The acquisition will integrate Garrison's hardware-enforced security (hard security) and software capabilities into Everfox's software portfolio of cross-domain, threat protection and insider risk solutions, enabling the company to deliver comprehensive cybersecurity to government and enterprise customers in regulated industries.
“Garrison's solutions are highly complementary to our existing portfolio and will be of immense value to our customers. These synergies and our track record of working together pave the way for a more enduring partnership,” said Sean Berg, CEO of Everfox. “This acquisition reinforces our dedication to protecting the world's most important organizations and our ongoing efforts to make the Everfox portfolio as comprehensive, secure and impactful as possible.”
As the cyber threat landscape continues to evolve, governments, critical infrastructure organizations, and regulated industries around the world are stepping up their cybersecurity efforts. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and other leading cybersecurity organizations recognize the benefits of a hard security approach to security (opens in new window). Hard security combines the reliable physical security of hardware with the flexibility of software to provide layered security.
The combination of Everfox's cross-domain solutions and Garrison's field programmable gate array (FPGA) security technology creates a powerful example of how the combined capabilities of both companies can deliver the nation-state level security required for governments and regulated industries. Garrison's recently announced Trust Qualified Browsing (TQB) service applies the hardware-enhanced cybersecurity that customers know and trust to remote web browsing, eliminating the risks associated with malicious web code.
“For nearly a decade, we have worked to build hard security solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing software products,” said David Garfield, co-founder and CEO of Garrison Technology Inc. “Layering our high-end isolation solutions onto the Everfox portfolio helps our customers stay one step ahead of their adversaries.”
“Everfox continues to establish itself as a pioneer in the industry, and strategic acquisitions such as this one not only allow the company to expand its strong product portfolio, but also expand its global footprint,” said Tim Millikin, partner at TPG. “The combination of Everfox's products with Garrison's hard security and software solutions will strengthen the global cyber resilience of the world's most important organizations.”
Everfox is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, with offices in Champaign, Illinois, Richardson, Texas, and Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as London and Malvern in the UK.
