On Thursday, Dariusz Wieczorek announced that he has resigned from his position as Minister of Science and Higher Education.
– For me, it is a matter of paying particular attention to my political formation, functioning in parliament and coalition governments, and family issues. He told a press conference that the last few weeks have been extremely difficult due to the various reports and the wave of hatred that has emerged against the ministry and me.
The former minister stressed that he does not want issues related to him to have a negative impact on the development of science in Poland or on the coalition government. – I think we have achieved a lot in the last 12 months. “Looking back on this year, I think we made some mistakes by not talking about it enough,” he said.
