A video of a Chinese father dressed as a teddy bear delivering flowers to his daughter at work as a sign of reconciliation after a family dispute has gone viral on mainland social media.
According to Jiaotong Television, when he paid a surprise visit to her workplace in Guangzhou, southern China's Guangdong province, in mid-August, both her visit and his attire came as a complete surprise.
His goal was to make amends with his daughter after an argument over setting up a blind date for her.

She left her parents' home that day, and the two hadn't seen each other for six months.
The daughter, whose name was not released in the report, works for a small taxi company and was surprised when a large cartoon bear appeared in front of her, handed her a bouquet of flowers and gave her a hug.
The business's surveillance camera shows her hesitate for a moment, then lean in for a bear hug, while her father removes the costume's head to reveal his true identity.
She was startled for a moment, then cried out, “Daddy, what are you doing here?”, and then she ran to him, hugged him, and they both cried tears of joy.

“My daughter, it's been so long since I last heard from you. I miss you so much,” he said.
“That's our fault. Your mother and I agreed not to force you onto a blind date. You can count on me. It's no big deal,” her father reassured her.
After the disagreement, the daughter quickly packed her things and left home, moving about 1,000 kilometers away from Guangzhou.
“I haven't been in contact with my parents since then. I was afraid to call them because I felt like I wasn't living up to their expectations,” she said.
Recalling the moment her father took the head off the costume, she said there was more than one reason she couldn't help but cry.

“Seeing them brought tears to my eyes. A father's love is as big as a mountain,” said another.
