At least two people were killed and six others were injured due to the collapse of a silo at a biogas plant in Flemlos, Denmark. According to the local police, three Poles were among the wounded.
An accident occurred at a biogas plant in Flemlose on the island of Funen in southern Denmark on Tuesday evening. The factory was expanding, and the tragic incident was probably related to the roofing of one of the silos.
“Both deceased are Romanian citizens, men aged 20 and 25,” the police said in a statement. “The injured are also men aged 19 to 49. They are two Romanians, three Polish and one Belgian,” he added.
One person has not yet been found. – The search for the missing person continues, the work is difficult due to the large amount of concrete and iron, – said Christian Rasmussen from the local police.

Wounded Poles
The Danish Labor Inspectorate has started an investigation into the Flemloze tragedy. According to the representative of the Polish embassy in Copenhagen, “there are no Polish citizens among the dead and missing”. According to the information obtained by the diplomats, the injured Poles are hospitalized in local hospitals and their lives are not in danger.
The biogas plant in Flemlose, which produces gas from sludge and waste from the plant, has been expanded since 2022 due to increased demand for gas after Russia, Germany and Denmark stopped importing raw materials.
