Deputy Minister of Culture and National Heritage Andrzej Virobiec submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The statement did not specify the reason for this decision.
According to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, following the resignation of Andrzej Wirobek, “control over the departments he coordinated will be transferred to Minister Hana Wroblewska.” The reason for this decision of the Deputy Minister was not mentioned in the statement.
Resignation of the deputy minister
Andrzej Virobiec was born in 1964 in Hrzanov. He is a graduate of the Faculty of History and Journalism of the Pedagogical University of Krakow and a graduate of the University of Economics in Krakow with a specialization in accounting and finance.
In 1989-94, Wyrobiec was the program director of the Student Cultural Center “Pod Jaschurami” and the director of student song festivals in Krakow. Until 2006, he was engaged in business, he was a partner, authorized representative and board member of an advertising agency.
Wirobiec sat on the Supervisory Board of Radio Krakow SA (2002-2006) and in 2007-2009 was the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MPL Krakow – Balice Sp. z o. In 2005-2014, he was the advisor of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Krakow. In 1991, he joined the Liberal Democratic Congress. He was a member of the Union of Freedom and since 2001 the Civil Platform.

He was the deputy treasurer (2006-2009) and then the treasurer of the PO (2009-2010) and the financial representative of all the election committees of the PO. In 2010, he became the financial representative of the election committee of the presidential candidate Bronislav Komorovsky. From 2010 to 2013, he was the general secretary of the Civil Platform.
Who is Andrzej Virobiec?
From 2014 to 2015, Andrzej Virobiec worked in the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as a deputy state secretary. From January 2018 to September 2019, he worked as an authorized representative of the General Director of the Philharmonic. Karol Szymanowski in Krakow for the construction of a music center in Krakow. In 2020, he became the director of the Bagatelle Theater. Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński in Krakow.
In December 2023, he was again appointed as the Deputy Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
