Three Polish nationals on vacation in the Dominican Republic have drowned, local media reported. The tragedy occurred at the Arena Gorda beach hotel in Bavaro. It was initially reported that two Polish nationals were killed, and a search had been underway for a third person since Friday. A man’s body was found on the beach Saturday. According to reports, one Portuguese national was also killed.
Four out of five tourists who went swimming in the sea at Bavaro’s Arena Gorda beach belonging to one of Bavaro’s hotels drowned on Friday, Bavaro Digital reported. The victims were three Poles, a 52-year-old woman and two men, aged 47 and 54, and a 67-year-old Portuguese national.
