“The number of casualties from the construction disaster in the Dominican Republic’s capital of Santo Domingo has increased to 184” – local governments assured, saying, “until at least one person is searching for a missing person.” The cause of the tragedy remains unknown.
However, Juan Manuel Mendes of the local crisis control center admitted that no one had been found since the previous afternoon. Balance – Thursday morning – equivalent to 184 deaths, with over 200 remaining injured.

At the same time, members of the missing family gathered in front of the ruins of the destroyed Jetset Disco and were hoping for information about their loved ones. Desperate people also went to hospitals and fences in the hopes of finding news. Authorities placed tarpaulins with a list of dead people and were carefully searched by local residents.

Fifty-four deaths have already been identified, and 28 bodies have been issued to the family.
The sand began to fall into the drink and after a while the entire roof collapsed.
The legendary Jetset Club was packed with musicians, athletes and staff during the disaster. Witnesses say at one point the sand starts to fall onto the roof and after a while the entire concrete ceiling collapses, burying hundreds of people under the heavy beams. Many of them called 911 emergency numbers and asked for help.

Jetset is the most popular place of this type in Santo Domingo, with meringue and salsa concerts being held over the years. A fire broke out in 2023, and the club was opened quickly again afterwards.
