Congress has confirmed Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States. The decision was announced by Kamala Harris and was the last formal step before Trump takes office and takes over America’s most important office. As Reuters noted, the certification of the electoral votes happened “like clockwork”, unlike four years ago.
On Monday, the US Congress officially announced Donald Trump as the winner of the 2024 presidential election. This officially concludes the selection process for the 47th President of the United States. The process of confirming the electoral college was led by Kamala Harris, the current vice president of the United States and acting Senate president who lost to Trump in the race for the White House.
