The Gloucester High School golf team won their third victory of the season at Hamptons Golf Course last Wednesday, August 21. Pictured is Gloucester High School sophomore Mahia Richardson hitting her tee shot. She is the only female golfer competing in the Peninsula District.
The Gloucester High School golf team won its third straight tournament at Hamptons Golf Course last Wednesday, Aug. 21. The Dukes shot 308 to win by 14 strokes against Menchville.
Senior Blake Sibley again earned medalist honors with a three-over par 73. Sophomore Fenton Scott finished third overall with a six-over par 76. Freshman Levi Vannoy took fourth place with a seven-over par 77. Junior Joseph Moritz finished tied for sixth with a 12-over par 82. Also competing for the Dukes were sophomores Mahia Richardson and Brayden Davidson.
Nine schools compete in golf in the Peninsula region, with Gloucester and Menchville vying for the championship.
