FORT HUACHUCA, Ariz. – Aug. 21 – The U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) hosted its highly anticipated 2024 Cybersecurity Outreach Forum at Thunder Mountain Activity Center, Fort Huachuca, Ariz. The event brought together cybersecurity experts and stakeholders from across the Department of Defense and around the world.
The forum served as a key platform for participants to engage in lively discussions and knowledge sharing on current and highly important topics in cybersecurity. Highlights included in-depth sessions on Zero Trust Architecture, Army Endpoint Security Solutions (AESS), Army Unified Directory Service (AUDS), and DoDIN-Army Incident Response Plans. Participants had the opportunity to enhance their understanding and preparedness to address evolving cyber threats.
“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response and participation in our 2024 Cybersecurity Outreach Forum,” said Joe Valladares, Cybersecurity Director at NETCOM. “Approximately 90 cybersecurity professionals traveled to Fort Huachuca for the event, with approximately 600 more participating virtually via MS Teams. This event highlights NETCOM's commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among cybersecurity professionals.”
The event highlighted the critical importance of cybersecurity preparedness in protecting national defense and global security interests. Through joint efforts and shared insights, participants gained actionable strategies and enhanced capabilities to strengthen their cyber defenses.
Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) is a two-star operational command with global responsibility in constant competition, crisis and conflict.
