Estonia focuses on safety. A “drone wall” will be created
Estonia will not halt the implementation of “drone walls,” a project that involves detection and combat of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. The initiative is to “prevent human loss” – advocate for politicians. The European Commission has decided not to grant additional funds, but the government ensures that it has the appropriate funds. Activities related to the detection of drones at the country’s eastern border will begin by the end of 2027.
Estonian Home Affairs Secretary Igor Taro argues that “drone walls” are a key element of widely understood national defense.
– Everything about borders is a top priority as the Ukrainian experience shows how important it is to detect and fight drones. This is a critical infrastructure investment and it is definitely beneficial if you want to prevent human losses as much as possible in the event of a potential military crisis – the minister pointed out in an interview released on Wednesday for the sender of the ERR.

Igor Taro also reminded Estonia received more than 22 million euros from the European Union as part of its financial support measures for managing borders and visa policies. However, a significant portion of these funds were allocated to opposite installations.

The “drone wall” in Estonia. Poland was also offered
The creation of “drone walls” in accordance with police station and border security guidelines should coincide with the establishment of new equipment and networks to detect and control drones. This should take place along the eastern border of Estonia and in the four largest cities of the country: Tallinn, Narel, Tart and Parnawa.
