The most important thing was a reliable assessment of the damage, said Adam Szlapka, Minister of European Union Affairs, in “#BezKitu” on TVN24. He was asked about the stage of obtaining EU funds for post-flood relief. He said the application was submitted “today” by the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in consultation with Flood Reconstruction Minister Marcin Kirwinski.
The Minister of the European Union Adam Slapka (Novochesna, Civic Alliance Club) spoke in the “#BezKitu” program about EU financial aid to flood victims and when it will be available.
Szlapka noted that those in power said “from the beginning” that they want to receive funds from the Solidarity Fund of the European Union. – However, this is a mechanism that deals with damage to the infrastructure, – he stressed, adding that “the most important thing was to correctly assess the damage.”
– This application was presented today by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the administration in consultation, in contact with Minister (Marcin) Kierwinski, who is responsible for post-flood reconstruction, – said the politician.
He emphasized that this happened ahead of schedule.
