Drones took advantage of the weak position of Russian air defenses. On the night from Sunday to Monday, Ukrainian drones attacked an ethanol plant in the south of Russia. The target was an enterprise located in the village of Krasnoe in the Voronezh region, about 200 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. Reuters shared the records of the residents. Records show huge columns of fire approaching buildings. The Russian attack sparked another wave of criticism of air defense systems, which again had problems with the rapid detection of drones near the border with Ukraine. Baza Telegram news channel reported that two explosions were heard near the ethanol alcohol production plant in the village of Krasnoye. Governor Alexander Gusev confirmed the attack on Telegram. Gusev wrote, “10 Ukrainian drones were destroyed or intercepted in the area on Sunday evening, and their fragments fell on an industrial plant, causing a fire.” Reuters added that Kiev usually targets its attacks on infrastructure critical to the Kremlin's war effort.
