Investing in top players with explosive offensive potential is a proven strategy for 2024 fantasy football. That’s why players like Tyreek Hill of the Dolphins, Christian McCaffrey of the 49ers, and Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Lions have all performed well in early fantasy football picks in 2024. Meanwhile, players like James Conner (Cardinals), Terry McLaurin (Commanders), and Calvin Ridley (Titans) can be difficult to evaluate due to their teams. All have undeniable talent and potential, but will their respective offensive prowess earn them a place in our 2024 fantasy football RB rankings and 2024 fantasy football WR rankings? Where should we place all of these players in our 2024 fantasy football rankings? And which 2024 fantasy football sleepers, 2024 fantasy football breakouts, and 2024 fantasy football misses will define this year?

Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would not live up to his fantasy football ADP. Waddle's 2023 fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall, making him the 11th-best receiver overall. He recorded a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions and four touchdowns, finishing 34th among fantasy football wide receivers in CBS Sports PPR leagues.
The same model has a proven track record of providing fantasy football tips, identifying AJ Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and accurately predicting Jonathan Taylor's phenomenal season in 2021. Additionally, they have also predicted past fantasy football sleepers such as Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Betting on these players has led to them winning league titles.
The model is run by the same people who create the projections for the three major fantasy sites, and it beat out human experts last season when there was a huge difference in rankings. Our 2024 Fantasy Football PPR Rankings and 2024 Fantasy Football Standard Projections are updated multiple times each day, so you'll always have the best fantasy football advice and the latest fantasy football tiers.

2024 Fantasy Football QB Rankings
Here are SportsLine's top three fantasy football QB picks for 2024.
1. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: Hurts has a lot of weapons on the offensive side of things, and the Eagles added running back Saquon Barkley to a unit that already features AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. Hurts continued to thrive in 2023, rushing for 3,858 yards and 23 touchdowns, both career highs. He also had 15 rushing touchdowns last season, proving he's still got a fantasy ceiling this year.
2. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: Allen's two-way ability can carry you to a fantasy football championship. Allen has served as QB1 or QB2 four times since 2019 and has thrown for over 4,000 yards in each of the past four seasons. He's also very effective as a rusher. Last season, Allen averaged 4.7 yards per carry and scored 15 rushing touchdowns.
3. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens: Jackson is up for a second MVP award in 2023. Last year, Jackson set career highs in completions (307), pass attempts (457) and passing yards (3,678) while throwing 24 touchdowns. He also had 821 yards and five scores on the ground. See other top QBs here.
2024 Fantasy Football RB Rankings
Here are SportsLine's top three fantasy football running back picks for 2024.
1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: The obvious choice to be selected No. 1 overall in just about every format, McCaffrey has recorded 3,233 scrimmage yards and 31 touchdowns in 27 games since joining the 49ers, and you can count on him to throw 20-plus touchdowns almost every week.
2. Breece Hall, New York Jets: Hall was recovering from a season-ending injury during his rookie season, which left his status in question for the start of 2023, and the Jets limited him over the first month of the season, giving him just 37 touches in the first four games. But he broke out with 177 rushing yards against the Broncos and ultimately finished with 1,585 scrimmage yards and nine scores. He's now healthy and should be a focal point of the Jets' offense.
3. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: After six years in New York, Barkley left the Giants for the Eagles this offseason after failing to sign a contract extension. Now he'll be playing behind a much better offensive line and surrounded by the Eagles' talented skill players. After racking up 2,892 scrimmage yards and 20 touchdowns over the past two seasons, he should be able to make even more in Philadelphia in 2024. Click here to see more top running backs.
2024 Fantasy Football WR Rankings
Here are SportsLine's top three fantasy football WR picks for 2024.
1. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: The former Oklahoma star has steadily improved throughout his pro career, finishing as the WR1 in fantasy points per game last season. Lamb recorded 100+ receiving yards in seven of his final 12 games, including 227 in Week 17. Dallas will field a mostly identical roster to last year's, so he should have a shot at the WR1 title again this season.
2. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: Hill finished second among fantasy wide receivers last year, averaging just under 20 points per game. Hill shows no signs of slowing down this year, as he recorded over 1,700 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in his age-29 season. Miami's offense has proven it can provide ample volume for a number of fantasy stars, including Hill and teammate Jaylen Waddle.
3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: Last season, he finished third at his position behind Lamb and Hill in scoring with 247.5 fantasy points at 16.5 points per game. St. Brown had a 30% target share and 34% air yard share on one of the league's best offensive lines, and he earned himself a four-year contract extension for his efforts. He's in the prime of his career and is ranked third among wide receivers in SportsLine's model. See other top WRs here.
2024 Fantasy Football TE Rankings
Here are SportsLine's top three 2024 fantasy football TE picks.
1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: The 34-year-old Kelce has caught 90 or more passes in six straight years entering 2023 and is already making a legitimate case to be considered the best tight end of all time. He signed a two-year contract extension in the offseason and remains the centerpiece of Kansas City's elite offense. Some fantasy managers are downplaying Kelce after he didn't reach 1,000 yards last year, but he's still the top player at his position.
2. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens: Andrews has only played one full season since his rookie year, but he scored one more touchdown in 10 games last year than he did in 15 games the year before. He was quarterback Lamar Jackson's first choice and averaged 4.5 receptions per game last season. His points per target average is also nearly 3 percent higher than his career average, so his health is the only legitimate concern for owners.
3. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: He wowed the fantasy world as a rookie, finishing as TE1 with 86 receptions for 889 yards and 10 touchdowns. LaPorta is averaging 52.3 receiving yards per game, and it's easy to imagine him surpassing those numbers this season. SportsLine's model needs to see more from LaPorta before ranking him above Kelce and Andrews, but LaPorta is already one of the best tight ends in the league. To see more top TEs, click here.
