After battling a hamstring injury early in the preseason, Lions running back Jameel Gibbs is back to practice just over a week until the start of the 2024 NFL schedule, much to the joy of those who drafted him. But with many 2024 fantasy football drafts coming up in the coming days, some managers may be wary of Gibbs due to the possibility of a lingering soft-tissue injury. Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would not live up to his fantasy football ADP. Waddle's 2023 fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall, making him the 11th-best receiver overall. He recorded a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions and four touchdowns, finishing 34th among fantasy football wide receivers in CBS Sports PPR leagues.
The same model has a proven track record of providing fantasy football tips, identifying AJ Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and accurately predicting Jonathan Taylor's phenomenal season in 2021. Additionally, they have also predicted past fantasy football sleepers such as Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Betting on these players has led to them winning league titles.
The model is run by the same people who create the projections for the three major fantasy sites, and it beat out human experts last season when there was a huge difference in rankings. Our 2024 Fantasy Football PPR Rankings and 2024 Fantasy Football Standard Projections are updated multiple times each day, so you'll always have the best fantasy football advice and the latest fantasy football tiers.

2024 Fantasy Football QB Rankings
Here are SportsLine's top three fantasy football QB picks for 2024.
1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: Allen has a track record of falling short in the postseason, but he is a championship-level quarterback from a fantasy football perspective. The 28-year-old Allen is blessed with arm talent and is one of the top running quarterbacks of his generation. Allen will be without Stefon Diggs this season, but his ability to break down defenses with his arm and legs, especially in the red zone, continues to make him an elite fantasy football quarterback.
2. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: Like Allen, Hurts is a dual-threat quarterback who can lead his fantasy football team to a championship. Hurts battled injuries in 2023 but still played in all 17 regular season games and produced big fantasy scores in the process. Hurts has potentially the best wide receiver duo in the league (AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith) and his ability as a runner (15 rushing TDs in 2023) makes him one of the top fantasy football quarterbacks heading into the 2024 season.
3. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens: Jackson is one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history. In addition to his development as a pitcher, Jackson has two 1,000-yard rushing seasons in his career. With the return of Mark Andrews and the addition of Derrick Henry to the backfield, everything is set for Jackson to have another highly productive season with the Ravens in 2024. 2024 Fantasy Football RB Rankings
Here are SportsLine's top three fantasy football running back picks for 2024.
1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: McCaffrey has been on the cover of Madden and has been battling a calf injury all preseason, but the 49ers have mostly taken precautions to ensure their star running back is ready for Week 1. It's clear to see what he'll do once he's in the lineup, as he's averaging 119.7 scrimmage yards and 1.1 touchdowns per game since being traded to San Francisco.
2. Breece Hall, New York Jets: Hall spent the first month of the season on a pitch count limit after suffering a season-ending injury as a rookie and faced loaded teams after Aaron Rodgers was hurt in Week 1. But he still managed to rack up 1,585 scrimmage yards and nine touchdowns. Year three should be a lot better with a healthy Rodgers to weaken defenses.
3. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: Barkley spent his first six seasons in New York, missing 25 games during that time and playing behind a porous offensive line. But he still averaged more than 20 touches per game with 7,311 scrimmage yards and 47 touchdowns in 74 games. That workload may be lowered with Philadelphia's talented offense, but the skill talent around him and a strong offensive line should improve the quality of his opportunities. 2024 Fantasy Football WR Rankings
Here are SportsLine's top three fantasy football WR picks for 2024.
1. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: Entering his fifth year in the NFL, Lamb has set career highs in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns in every year of his career, culminating in a 2023 season when he had 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. Even if he can't surpass those numbers again in 2024, Lamb would still be a top option on a Dallas offense with a deep floor that's the highest of any receiver in the game.
2. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: When Hill left Kansas City, some prognosticators predicted his production would decline without Patrick Mahomes. But he piled up 238 receptions, 3,509 yards and 20 touchdowns in two seasons with Miami. He led the NFL in yards per route run (3.88) and, barring injury, it's hard to imagine a world in which he isn't one of the league's best players. And he's missed just one game in the past three years.
3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: Like Lamb, St. Brown has improved each of his three years in the NFL, hauling in 119 catches for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. But unlike the other two, he's done most of his damage near the line of scrimmage, averaging just 7.9 yards of target depth (85th among NFL receivers) and 668 yards after the catch (2nd among receivers). 2024 Fantasy Football TE Rankings
Here are SportsLine's top three 2024 fantasy football TE picks.
1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: Kelce had seven straight seasons with 1,000+ receiving yards, but that streak came to an end in 2023. But the future Hall of Famer is one of the most productive fantasy tight ends in the league. The 34-year-old Kelce caught 93 passes for 984 yards and five touchdowns last season, which was a step back for him, but was enough to make him a top-three tight end after all. Of all the tight ends in the NFL, Kelce is in perhaps the best situation both tactically and from a quarterback standpoint.
2. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: LaPorta burst onto the fantasy football scene as a rookie in 2023, catching 86 passes for 889 yards and 10 touchdowns. Year two will see him become more familiar with the Lions' system and quarterback Jared Goff. The former Iowa star also has the benefit of playing in an offense that features playmakers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameel Gibbs, who are likely to draw plenty of attention from opposing defenses.
3. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens: Andrews was on pace to have the best year of his career in 2023 before an ankle injury ended his season early. The Oklahoma star caught 45 passes for 544 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games. Andrews is set to enter the 2024 season fully healthy and looking to reclaim his spot as NFL MVP Lamar Jackson's No. 1 target. See other top tight ends here.
