– The government is preparing a public hearing on immigration policy. I'm just wondering if it's the mustard after dinner because the immigration strategy has already been adopted by the government. If the case is already closed, does it make sense to organize such a hearing? – Pawel Pawlowski, host of the “Newsroom” program on WP, asked his guest Adriana Porowska, Minister of Civil Society from Poland 2050 – This is a civil discussion that I organize, explained Minister Porowska. – Public hearing is a date reserved for legislators. And such a public hearing will also be held, but on the bills that are already in the Sejm, he added. He explained that the civil trial he is organizing is a response to a letter from non-governmental organizations requesting a meeting with him. – I would like to meet and listen to different people and different environments. I am the Minister Prof. Duszczyk is an expert in many activities, but I also know him as a person. Not only was I his student, but I helped him help a homeless person. I just know that he is a good man. And I know that there is a lot of wisdom, common sense and knowledge on the part of NGOs. I would like to create a situation where people can safely and calmly express their opinions on important policies such as migration, said the minister. The minister was also asked about the statement of Bartolomiej Sienkiewicz, a representative of the Polish Parliament, who said that it was “far from reality” in response to the criticism of the head of the Polish branch of Amnesty International regarding the new immigration policy of the government. – He did not say about the people who are currently working in public organizations, he also said about me. Yes, of course I was angry. Many people who work in public organizations provide knowledge to the state and we are grateful to them, the minister replied. With this hearing, we will also respect people working in non-governmental organizations, assured the Minister of Civil Society, Adriana Porowska.
