Grammy Award was to perform in Perth on Sunday
A “large” sewer blocking caused by “fat, fat and rags” forced the cancellation of a Bryan Adams concert in Australia for public health.
The awarded artist at Grammy Awards was to perform in The Rac Arena in Perth on Sunday, but the City’s Water Corporation said that the main one risked saving the place to the place.
Adams apologized to fans on social networks – many of which had aligned themselves for hours to be refused – and thanked them for their “patience and support” before promising to try to reprogram the show.
The concert promoter said the cancellation was “bitterly disappointing” and would provide a full refund on tickets.
“Although all the efforts were made for the show to take place, this case was outside the control of Bryan Adams, Frontier Touring and Rac Arena,” he wrote in a statement.
Perth’s Water Corporation said that the Fatberg responsible for the disturbance had already “caused several wastewater overflows” on the main road near the room and urged the public to avoid direct contact with “grouped water” in the region.
“We apologize for the drawbacks that this has caused and provide other updates if necessary,” he said in an article on Facebook, advising cancellation.
Adams – which is known for its songs such as Summer ’69 and please, forgive me – made its Australian debut in 1984 and has remained a beloved interpreter through the country since.
“I’m really sorry that we can’t get there tonight-I was so looking forward to seeing you all,” he posted on social networks on Sunday.
The Canadian Rock Star must always play Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne later this week.
Found in sewers around the world, fatbergs are formed when fat, oil and fat solidify and bind with items such as rags or damp wipes.
They are known to cause serious blockages and environmental risks. Last year, a fatberg weighing roughly the same as three double floor buses was eliminated from a London sewer in the East. And New York, Denver, Melbourne and Valencia have all found Giant Fatberg blocking their waterways in recent years.
