Before the start of the presidential race, the parties are placed in the starting blocs. There are more candidates than there are places to be taken and there is no hundred percent or official certainty. For now, the strategy is to wait and see, and it seems that no one wants to stop the curve.
Unofficially, in the Civil Alliance you can hear that Rafal Trzaskovski is their presidential candidate – nothing has changed, but the official announcement will be published in a month. – You will all find out on December 7 in Silesia, – says Monika Velihovska, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm (KO).
The PSL's surprise bid on October 28 to elect a common candidate surprised the coalition partners. But Donald Tusk immediately closed the case. In the first round of elections, each party goes separately without attacking each other.
– The most important thing is that we will mobilize all the voters who believed in us a year ago, and each party is making a lot of efforts for this, – explains the mayor of Warsaw, Rafal Trzaskowski. – The candidate must be common, but must be common in the second round – says Sezary Tomczyk, Deputy Minister of National Defense from the Civil Alliance.
Where did this idea of the People's Party come from? Unofficially – because officially you don't hear anything – the Third Way is at a crossroads and the PSL has no desire to support Simon Holounia for the presidency and was looking for a vacancy.

The People's Party did not list Shimon Holounia as a possible general candidate. And he himself postpones the decision. Mr. Marshal is surprised. Paweł Sliz, a member of the Polish 2050 parliament, says he asked for some time to discuss the matter with his family.
– If Szymon Holounia decides, I think he has the least negative voter, – says Paulina Henning-Kloska, Minister of Climate and Environment from Poland 2050.
Is Sikorsky a favorite for PSL voters?
The second issue is Radosław Sikorski's presidential ambitions. Sikorski and his ideas could be more acceptable – the PSL considered and discussed this with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their constituents. Sikorsky itself has its supporters in the coalition.
– In my opinion, Radek Sikorski has a better chance of winning in the second round, – says Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska, a representative of KO. The fact that Sikorsky is attacking the presidency is well known. As for the Civil Alliance's decision, he says nothing is certain. “In the second half of November, we will conduct an in-depth study and make a decision based on it,” announced the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Civil coalition has been conducting research for a long time. We have been informally informed of the internal inquiry. The second round was tested in September. Trzaskovsky wins against the candidate of Law and Justice with 46 to 33. Sikorski also supports the PiS candidate. In both studies there is a large group of ambiguous people.
PiS is delaying the decision
Who will PiS? The decision will be postponed. PiS withdrew from the primary elections and postponed the presentation of its candidate. – We have ordered additional tests. Mateusz Morawiecki, MP from Law and Justice, says this is another series of tests of candidates, each of whom, it seems, can fight for the presidency.
– This list, including media information – does not include people about whom we are conducting research, – adds Michal Wojcik, PiS representative.
KO politicians emphasize that when the second round comes, support for their candidate should be unconditional. – So that no one thinks about our general candidate competing, – says Yakub Rutnicki, a representative of KO.
– We have to play an open card with the voters. The first round is to fully mobilize our voters, so that as many of them as possible vote in the second round and win the elections, – says Tomas Trela, a deputy from the left who will present his candidate in January.
