Foreign Ministry spokesperson Paweł Włonski said a Polish woman was among the passengers seriously injured in the Polish bus accident in Germany. It was also confirmed that Flixbus was managed by a 36-year-old Polish woman. The accident occurred on the A11 motorway, about 20 km from the Polish border.
Two people died and 11 others were injured in this bus accident. According to reports, the deceased were a 29-year-old woman from an Eastern European country and a 48-year-old German national. The woman’s nationality is not yet known, but is likely to be known by the end of the week.
At the time of its establishment, bus passengers included nationals of Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Syria, and Pakistan.
The police headquarters in Frankfurt (Oder), Brandenburg, confirmed in an interview with PAP that the bus was being driven by a 36-year-old Polish woman. She suffered minor injuries but did not require hospitalization. She was not taken into police custody either.

As we wrote on polsatnews.pl, the Central Press Office of the Brandenburg Police reported on Sunday that weather conditions were probably the cause of the bus accident on the A11 motorway near the Polish border.
Police said the Flixbus veered off the right-hand side of the road towards Poland near the Landaubruch parking lot due to weather conditions and then overturned. However, the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Police said emergency services were able to free the passengers primarily through the open windshield of the bus.
Flixbus expressed regret over the accident. The airline said on Saturday that its “thoughts go out to all those injured in the accident and their families.” He also announced that he would work with local authorities and services to quickly explain the cause of the incident.
