At least two people died and hundreds evacuated their homes while the fires raged in South Korea on Saturday.
Two firefighters were found dead in the county of Sancheong in the south-east of the country, reported the Yonhap news agency, citing local officials.
According to the Korea Forest Service, two other multiple fires across the country.
A state of national disaster was declared at 6:00 p.m. local time (9:00 am GMT), covering the provinces of Ulsan City and North Gyeongsang in the Southeast.
More than 200 residents were ordered to leave their homes in eight villages due to the deadly fire in the County of Sancheong in the southern province of Gyeongsang.
The acting president, Choi Sang-Mok, had urged all the efforts to turn off the fire by sunset, but strong winds have hindered the efforts on the scene about 250 kilometers (155 miles) south-east of Seoul.
Elsewhere, more than 400 residents were moved due to a forest fire in the county of Uiseong in the northern province of Gyeongsang.
The forestry service has issued a warning of serious forest fires in 12 locations, including Busan and the central city of Daejeon.
