French President Emmanuel Macron has called on European leaders to make strategic decisions on Europe’s defense in the coming weeks. Paris expects to introduce joint European funding to increase orders and arms production.
– Strategic Awakening should lead us to decisions about a huge defence plan and heavy investment in Europe, and these strategic decisions must be made in the coming weeks.
Macron emphasized that he is defending the idea of introducing European funding in the field of defense to “buy and produce more.” As he said, Europe is extremely difficult to organize joint troops, but it is possible to create a common defensive capacity.
