Shortly after Sr.’s death, Tiberville Mayor Guy Parris received a surprising phone call from the 91-year-old’s representative. It has been revealed that Roger Tiverville has decided to leave 10 million euros as an inheritance to the town authorities.

In addition to a donation of 10 million euros, Mr. Tiberville requested that his remains be interred in a municipal cemetery. – Mr. Shiverville asked for nothing in return for his inheritance. “We owe him at least that much,” the mayor said, as reported by the Guardian.
Tiberville is a small town in Normandy. The only attractions are the 19th-century castle and former ribbon factory. The mayor said that the funds received will help repay 400,000 zlotys. A euro loan made by the authorities for the construction of a new primary school.

– This is an unusual amount. Of course, this amount is far beyond our imagination (…). Don’t spend it all. We intend to manage this dowry as carefully and responsibly as we would the city’s budget, Guy Parris said.
The mayor added that the commune is planning various facilities to serve residents, including: A playground, park or new sports field.
