Thousands of pro-Europe demonstrators protest outside Georgia's parliament again
Thousands of pro-European demonstrators gathered outside Georgia's parliament for the sixth day in a row. They are protesting the government's decision to suspend accession talks to the European Union. “It's another hot night tonight, despite strong police action against demonstrators on Monday,” Polsat News reporter Andrzej Wilwiński said.
“Today continues to be a night of very heated protests in Georgia,” Polsat news reporter Andrzej Wilwiński said. – Demonstrators are on the main street of the capital Tbilisi. This is where the biggest fights with police occur, he added.
As the reporter noticed, it's hot again today. – and this, he noted, despite stepped-up police action against demonstrators on Monday.
“Fireworks are being fired by the demonstrators and tear gas is being fired by the police,” he said, adding that demonstrators were waving Georgian and EU flags in front of parliament. “Police are guarding the building,” he said.
“Unfortunately, it is clear that the situation has not calmed down,'' the reporter emphasized.

Georgia's Interior Ministry announced Tuesday that authorities detained 34 people during anti-government demonstrations in Tbilisi from Monday to Tuesday night. As a result of clashes between police and demonstrators, 26 demonstrators were injured. They were provided with medical assistance.
Demonstrations have continued across Georgia since November 28th. On the same day, the demonstrators opposed the policies of the ruling Georgian Dream party, which announced a suspension of EU accession negotiations until 2028.

General Leon Komolnicki, former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, commented on the situation in Georgia during his “Guest of Events”.
– This is an unfinished war, – said the general. “In 2009 we had a chance to apply to NATO, but these were reset mistakes and omissions, and Georgia and Ukraine were rejected,” he explained.
He added that the situation may be different now. – It was necessary to separate Russia from the dollar and gas sales. This did not take place and Nord Stream 2 was being built – the public suggested.
