The death toll from Friday's attack on a Christmas market in Magdeburg has risen to five, authorities in Saxony-Anhalt state said. 205 people were injured, more than 40 of whom were in critical condition. The man suspected of the attack was identified as a 50-year-old man from Saudi Arabia, a supporter of the AfD party and an anti-immigrant opponent.
According to Bild, 86 people were seriously injured, with 41 in critical condition. Therefore, Friday's attack balance may increase. Another 78 people suffered minor injuries. Authorities said some of the victims were young children.
