Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has hired former Guidehouse board member Chris Moak as its chief data officer. Moak confirmed his new role in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday.
The biomedical and health informatics specialist will drive Leidos' data strategy and governance in support of clients across healthcare and commercial markets.
Mork brings decades of leadership experience to Leidos from Guidehouse, Mitre and Noblis, where he worked on a contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and most recently served as Director of Data Assets and Governance, and was also appointed Director of Public Health Informatics at a management consulting firm.
Moak spent nearly five years at Mitre as chief data wizard, a role in which the University of Washington graduate was responsible for the technical aspects of the federally funded research and development center focused on modernizing healthcare.
Mork also served as associate director of research at Noblis, where he worked with employees to come up with new ideas for research and review research proposals.
