Police have detained a 60-year-old British man in Thailand, exceeding the expiration date of his 30-day tourist visa. The man broke records of hiding from immigration services. His holiday was too long until 9105 days.
The unnamed British, as the AFP agency has shown, was captured in a northern state on Monday during the action of immigrants officials aimed at foreigners who illegally extend their stay in the country.
The man admitted that he had come to Thailand at the beginning of 2000 during interrogation, and from that time he had not left the country. His new passport, which he obtained in 2018, does not have stamps or visas.
In the case of previous police management, he told officers he was in the process of obtaining a new visa. This trick was successful as only immigration services could validate this data.
Thai records were beaten. 25 years of tourist visa
According to police, the man is not working and only sticks to the money he receives from his family in the UK, where he is deported. For 13 years he lived in Bangkok, the country’s capital.
