BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local nonprofit is hosting training for volunteers in the Barren River area.
Hosparus Health is looking for people in Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalf, Monroe, Simpson and Warren counties who want to help.
The training will take place at the Riverwood Avenue facility on Friday, September 6th from 10am to 1pm, where they will be taught all about volunteering and how they can give back to the community, which staff say can make a big impact on the patients they help.
“Whether it's a chaperone visit, just being there, reading a book, or taking a caregiver to the grocery store or a hair or nail appointment, we have volunteers who are willing to help and are happy to do so,” said Volunteer Manager Tiffany Hinton.
