Mr. Maneshinde said that Chakraborty had crossed “incalculable miseries” and was imprisoned “his faultless”.
“The false account of social media and electronic media was completely useless,” he said, calling the media owners to “think about what they have done”.
“Innocent people have been tracked down and paraded before the media and investigative authorities. I hope this is not repeated in any case.”

Chakraborty, who had been going out with Rajput for a year and lived with him, had gone to live with his parents a few days before his death.
“Always fighting to face my emotions … Irreparable numbness in my heart … I will never reconcile you with not being here,” she wrote on social networks on her sorrow.
But in a few weeks, the actress found herself at the center of a fire storm after Rajput’s father filed a police complaint, accusing Chakraborty of stealing her son’s money and contributing to her suicide. He also denied that his son had mental health problems.
The Rajput family did not comment on the latest developments concerning their death.
Chakraborty, who constantly denied all the allegations against her, called on the government to order a fair investigation into death.
However, the tragedy – which came in the middle of a locking while India was in difficulty with the coronavirus pandemic – has become the biggest story during great listening hours for a nation stuck to their televisions.
And Chakraborty became the subject of misogynist abuses, the trolls calling it “witch”, “fortune hunting”, “mafia moll” and “sex bait to trap rich men”. She received threats of rape and death.
Some of India’s most prominent television hosts have devoted their programs to discuss the case, describing her as a “manipulative” woman who “interpreted black magic” and “led suicide”.
A video that became viral at the time showed a presenter of leading news gesturing and accusing Chakraborty of being “a drug”. Another channel brought a female anchor on the live set, saying that it had “a bag of documents” which could prove the guilt of the actress.
The vicious hatred campaign continued until Chakraborty was arrested three months after Rajput’s death.

Chakraborty was questioned by police and financial crimes agency
She was released a month later and has since tried to talk about motivation and has now been reinvented as a businesswoman who launched a clothing line and her own podcast with celebrity interviews. She also does a reality TV show.
Chakraborty also talked about his ordeal, including how the attack and the assassination of the characters cost his work and how his family was also hunted down.

“I was very angry for a long time. But it gave me acidity and I suffered from intestinal problems. So it became important for me to forgive,” she said, adding “I have not forgiven everyone. Some people are on my success list.
It is not clear what action she plans against those who vilify her, but many now suggest on social networks that she pursued them for damage.
Although neither the actress nor her lawyer still say what they intend to do, the columnist Namita Bhandare stresses that the request for remuneration in India, with her overloaded judicial system and millions of pending legal cases, is anything but easy.
“A defamation case can last a decade and maybe she would have excuses at the end. So, would she even take the trouble to do that?”
According to Ms. Bhandare, Chakraborty “became a consumable in the pursuit of a juicy story” because she “was not a big name and had no powerful people supporting her in the film industry”.
What happened, the columnist continued: “was in line with traditional Indian thought” to blame the female partner left behind, and also highlighted the “dark side of social media, which tends to find a villain and then put to demolish its reputation”.
