Prime Minister Viktor Orban has announced that he will invite Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to visit Hungary. The politician added that the order issued by the International Criminal Court was “wrong and will not be respected”. The ICC on Thursday decided to issue an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister and former Defense Minister Yoaw Galan.
Hungarian Prime Minister Orban said on Friday that he would invite Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to visit Budapest, according to Reuters.
The Hungarian government leader stressed that the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for Prime Minister Netanyahu “will not be respected.”
Orbán said the decision issued by the ICC was “wrong”. He added that Israeli leaders would be able to hold negotiations in Hungary “while maintaining appropriate security.”

The International Criminal Court issued a statement on Thursday regarding the arrest warrants for Prime Minister Netanyahu and Mr. Gallant.
The order was issued citing the “responsibility of both politicians for crimes against humanity and war crimes.” As the ICC specified in its statement, these acts were to be carried out at least between October 8, 2023 and May 20, 2024. The consequences of the act were to affect civilians in Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip. .

– Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog referred to the ICC decision, saying it sided with evil instead of democracy and freedom.
Israel's prime minister expressed a similar opinion, calling the decision a “scandal.” Prime Minister Netanyahu's position was supported by US President Joe Biden, who said the international body had rushed the decision. He added that the United States “fundamentally rejects the decision.”
