– The European Union is an absolute phenomenon when it comes to the integration of countries in Europe. The European Union really had no right to exist, if we think about the fact that we have several countries where the leaders delegate joint power, it is quite difficult to imagine, – admitted Dr. Pawel Kowalski from the Department of Public and International Law at Sh. SWPS University. Interlocutor Pavel Pavlovsky said that similar ideas of integration appeared in other parts of the world, but “they did not work at all.” – I worked with students and politicians in the Philippines. They said that they would like to be adopted by Southeast Asia, like the European Union solution, but there is no preparation to send a decision. They do not understand that there can be a transnational initiative, although formally the European Union is an international organization. Similar efforts in Africa and South America have not been successful. Russia also tried to create a similar hybrid, explained Dr. Kowalski. The expert concluded that what happened in Europe, integration within the European Union, is something that must be preserved because “something like this will never happen again”.
