Israel's defense minister admitted that his country was behind the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. So far, Israel has not wanted to comment on this.
Defense Minister Israel Katz publicly admitted on Monday for the first time that Israel was behind the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Hani, who was killed in Tehran, the capital of Iran, in late July.
“Anyone who reaches out against Israel will be cut off, and the long arm of the CIS will reach him and settle the score,” said Katz in a meeting with Defense Ministry officials.

The Minister of Defense also threatened Yemen's Houthi rebels, who are sending drones and missiles to Israeli cities. On the night of Friday to Saturday, one of them injured 16 people in Tel Aviv.
The death of the leader of Hamas
Hani was killed in an airstrike in Tehran that Hamas and Iran attributed to Israel. The leader of Hamas lived permanently in Qatar and came to Iran during the swearing-in ceremony of President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Haniya became the political leader of Hamas in 2017 and left the Gaza Strip permanently two years later. After the death of Yahya Sinvor, who was killed by Israeli soldiers in the Gaza Strip in October, he became the leader of this Palestinian terrorist organization.
Haniyeh also served as a senior diplomat for Hamas, serving between Qatar and Turkey and participating in ceasefire talks in the Gaza Strip.
