Hoover city leaders said they are excited and grateful for Judge Ryan DeGraffenried's order recommending that a certificate of need be issued to the Hoover Riverwalk Health and Wellness Center.
City leaders, along with the Hoover Health Department, say opposition to the Riverwalk facility was unjustified and politically motivated.

On Sept. 18, HHCA is scheduled to present its plan to the Alabama Certificate of Need Commission for approval.
A certificate of need is a set of laws and regulations that require state approval for new or expanded health care facilities.
