Krakow. Tragedy at nursery school
Police have not provided further information about the case. “We have the interests of the parents and the interests of the family in mind,” Piotr Spich from the Krakow city police headquarters told Interlia.
The prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. It is known that those working at the nursery school were sober at the time of the incident. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, November 14th.
Prosecutor Olivia Bozek Michalek of the Krakow District Prosecutor's Office said the preliminary results were known. Physical trauma and asphyxiation were ruled out. The boy's cause of death was illness. “But we don't know whether it was myocarditis or pneumonia,” Oliwia Bozek Michalek said.
Further tests are needed to determine exactly what went wrong with the boy and will be carried out in the coming days. It is unclear whether the boy's parents were aware of the disease.
The deceased child had only been attending the nursery school for two days.
