Carbon monoxide poisoning occurred in a household in Kutno district. There was a family of five in the building. Two boys aged 9 and 12 died. Three LPR helicopters arrived at the scene and took the remaining injured – two adults and an infant – to the hospital.
On Tuesday, around 18:00, firefighters went to the house of a family in Kutno on ul. Beer. As reported by the spokesman of the command of Lodz province, Bri. Jejay Pawlak, firefighters were alerted by a family member that “there were no signs of life” in the family who lived there.
Firefighters 'forced the door open'

We found five unconscious people inside. They were two adults, including a 45-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, and children: two 9- and 12-year-old boys and an infant, he added.

Moreover, according to Brigadier. Jedzey Pavlak, the team sent to the operation, “immediately found a high concentration of carbon monoxide after entering the apartment.”
The spokesperson added that no detectors were installed in the building to detect it.
Two sons died
According to Pawlak, the child was in “excellent condition.” There were also parents in the building whose vital functions were protected. Two boys aged 9 and 12, who were also in the house, had no vital signs. Brigadier. Pawlak said that despite resuscitation efforts, they could not be saved.
Three medical rescue teams arrived at the scene and three LPR helicopters arrived and transported the injured to hospital.
The spokesperson of the district headquarters told about the subsequent incident with the victims. – The child was kept with vital signs and transferred to the Kutno hospital. His parents, his mother was transferred to the Lodz hospital with vital signs, his father was also transferred to the Warsaw hospital with vital signs – he explained.
He also informed that the causes of the accident are being investigated, but everything indicates that carbon dioxide gas was spread in the building. – Where this carbon dioxide is spread, is now determined. We only know that there was an oven in the building that works on gas fuel, and the only source of heating in this building was gas fuel, – he noted.
Carbon monoxide poisoning also occurred in Kossalyn on Christmas Eve afternoon. The woman died and two children in the apartment were taken to the hospital with her.

The Government Security Center reports that since October 1, the national headquarters of the State Fire Service has recorded 20 deaths due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
RCB also mentioned symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning; Concentration problems, dizziness, headache, weakness, vomiting, convulsions, slow breathing and heart rate disturbances may occur. In case of suspicion of poisoning, seek medical help as soon as possible, it was emphasized.
