Half a ton of cocaine on a Polish ship in Brazil
At the beginning of October, the cargo ship “PZM” arrived at the Brazilian port of Ithaca in San Luis to pick up a cargo of soybeans. He waited in the anchorage for two days. On October 4, one of the sailors noticed a broken seal at the entrance to one of the empty rooms (the so-called empty space) between the superstructure and the holds. Inside were wrapped packages. The captain was alerted and he informed the police through the agent. Officers determined that the suspicious package was cocaine. Only half a ton.
PŻM reported on October 6 that the crew of a freighter prevented drug trafficking. Then Krzysztof Gogol of Polska Žegluga Morska reported that the drug packages were probably planted at night.
