JACKSON, Tenn. — Summer is almost over and you know what that means: back-to-school time.
Lifestyle expert Joanne Butler shares her back-to-school essentials.
When it comes to technology, she says you should aim for long battery life and large storage capacity.
Also, consider buying a printer for convenience: look for printer packages that offer support and upgrades, or printers with low monthly fees.
Consider some cool lighting for your dorm room: Many customizable LED light strips are easy to install and won't damage your walls.
Choose snacks that are nutritious and delicious.
Finally, cleaning wipes and sprays are an essential yet underrated back-to-school item: look for multi-faceted cleaning options that are safe and effective.
Planning ahead for the various necessities will reduce tension and increase excitement.
“It takes time just to get packed and ready, but it's exciting. It gets you excited about going back to school. Sometimes it's scary, sometimes it's nervous, sometimes it's people not wanting to go, and this makes everything better,” said Joan Butler, editor in chief of Life Minute TV.
Butler's final tip is to check with your local school district about providing allergy-friendly treats.
