In the Asia Pacific region, Chinese Taipei have been the strongest team in the entire tournament so far, an undefeated powerhouse that has demonstrated the ability to take control of games from leads and come back to win against tough competition.
The team has outscored its opponents 32-3 in this year's tournament, and there's no reason to believe that dominance will continue in the international championships against Venezuela in the Latin America region, scoring at least one point in every game except against Mexico.
Venezuela has been a scoring powerhouse, scoring 27 points through five games, but has also conceded seven during that time. If they can't hold China Taipei to two points or less, it will be very tough for the team to clinch a spot in Sunday's LLWS finals.
In the American division, Texas and Florida will meet for the second time in five days.
Texas won their first game against Florida 4-1, though it wasn't particularly close, and the Bornean team was the strongest in the U.S. division throughout the tournament, outscoring their opponents 18-3, but ended up only playing three games.
Meanwhile, Florida has played six games in the tournament, scoring 28 goals and conceding 10.
Some would argue that Texas is well-rested and in a good position to pull off an upset, but the team won its next two games after four and two days of rest.
Florida was outplayed in the first game, but the U.S. Championship game is a whole different ball game, but there's no reason to think they can't beat a familiar opponent just three days after their last meeting.
