Five people were injured in a knife attack outside a south London supermarket. Emergency services are working at the scene. Police arrested a man believed to be the attacker.
The knife attack occurred near an Asda supermarket in London’s Croydon area on Thursday morning.
An ambulance and paramedics were dispatched to the scene. Five injured people were taken to the hospital.

London Ambulance Service said a 54-year-old man suffered serious injuries but is in a stable condition.

London police have confirmed that the man suspected of the attack has been arrested.
Witnesses said an unknown man tried to enter the store posing as a store employee. When a security guard tried to stop him, he was stabbed. Later, other people who were also victims of the attackers came to his aid.
