The offseason saw significant changes for several NFL teams, which could make NFL office pool picks tricky heading into Week 1. Chicago drafted quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick and he has one of the best groups of receivers in the league. The Bears also made some improvements defensively late last season, which is why they are favored by 4.5 points over Tennessee in the Week 1 NFL odds. This is the fourth-largest spread on the NFL schedule for Week 1, so oddsmakers are expecting a lot of close games.
Picking a tight spread can be difficult, but so can our NFL Office Pool and NFL Confidence Pool picks, which are a great way to compete with friends, family and coworkers all season long. If you're up for it, CBS Sports has the perfect game to keep you hooked all season long.

Get football picks for every game from our proven NFL model
Here's one team to root for during the NFL's opening week: SportsLine's advanced computer model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, predicts the New Orleans Saints to win at home against the Carolina Panthers.
New Orleans was a tough defensive team last season, finishing fourth in the league in EPA allowed per play and fourth in turnovers forced (29). Offensively, the Saints finished in the top 10 in points scored despite playing behind a terrible offensive line. They made some changes up front during the offseason and also hired a new offensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak.
Veteran quarterback Derek Carr has some excellent weapons in running back Alvin Kamara, wide receiver Chris Olave and wide receiver Rashid Shahid. The Panthers finished last season with the NFL's worst record (2-15) and a league-worst record against the spread (4-11-2). Because they struggled defensively in 2023 and let go of top pass rusher Brian Barnes in the offseason, the model projects New Orleans to win in nearly 80% of simulations. Join the pool now to lock in your picks.
