Marcin Romanowski claims that the actions of Polish law enforcement agencies are illegal and politically motivated. In his opinion, he could not expect a fair trial in Poland, which is why he left Poland.
Foreign Ministry Secretary Radosław Sikorski announced that the Hungarian government's decision to accept Romanowski's asylum application was a hostile act against Poland. Romanovsky is accused of participating in an organized crime group, exceeding his authority, neglecting his duties, and embezzling property entrusted to him, and could face up to 25 years in prison.
