Police officers from the Economic Crimes Unit received a signal that a large quantity of illegal cut tobacco was found in a property in the province of Novi Dvor.
– After crossing the gate to the property, police officers found the owner of the farm in the yard, who stated that he had duty-free tobacco in the warehouse, he did not know its origin and kept it at the request of an unknown person. people He also said he was paid to keep the goods, said Edyta Adamus of the Warsaw Police Department.

During the search, 5 boxes of cut tobacco in original cartons with stickers and a bag full of tobacco were seized from the building.
– There were 150 kilograms of tobacco in each box. The police found another sixth box in the piggery. In total, the police seized 920 kilos of cut tobacco worth more than PLN 207,000, Adamus said.
A 57-year-old man was charged with possession of tobacco without excise duty at the Novi Dvor Mazowiecki District Prosecutor’s Office. The prosecutor placed the suspect under police custody.
