Meghan Markle has reportedly been “left in tears” following the backlash she has received over the launch of her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
The duchess announced the project in March with a cryptic video teaser that showed Meghan exploring the sprawling grounds of the couple's Montecito mansion.
Since stepping back from royal duties, Meghan and Prince Harry's popularity has declined, and Meghan is set to launch a major PR campaign to boost her reputation ahead of the brand launch.
Despite this, she faced considerable criticism following the launch, as reported by royal correspondent Tom Quinn for the Mirror, who said, “The only sticking point is Meghan's new internet brand, 'American Riviera Orchard.'”
“Meghan was in tears when the brand launched and her new jammies were widely mocked as expensive and unexceptional.”

“She's now gotten to the point where she believes everything she does is unfairly criticized. Like her husband, she feels people are unfairly attacking her. She doesn't understand why people don't praise her for her work.”
“She is particularly sensitive to any criticism of her lavish lifestyle in the US, which, from her perspective, should be celebrated, not criticised,” Quinn said.

The mother-of-two is said to be planning a major PR push ahead of the launch of American Riviera Orchard, which could open as early as the end of this year.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020. The couple now live in California with their 5-year-old son, Prince Archie, and 3-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibeth.
