Meghan Markle's new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, has suffered another setback ahead of its official launch after a trademark “fault” was discovered.
The Duchess of Sussex was seeking to trademark the name of her service, “American Riviera Orchard,” internationally ahead of its full launch next year.
However, MailOnline reported that in July, around four months after the registration application, records showed there were several “irregularities” that needed to be “corrected”.
According to reports, several products the luxury brand was trying to sell, including yoga mats and picnic labels, were mislabelled and needed to be “corrected”.

The outlet claims that lawyers for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been notified of a variety of issues with ARO's trademarks, including “misclassification of yoga blankets, picnic baskets and recipe books.”
The error was identified in July by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the agency responsible for granting patents and registering trademarks in the United States, and will reportedly cost an estimated $11,382 (around £9,000) to fix.
Netflix is reportedly set to take over commercial production for the brand ahead of the launch of Meghan's new cooking show, with the costs of this being thought to be covered by the streaming giant.
The Duchess of Sussex's latest business venture was due to launch in the near future, but this setback has reportedly caused the launch to be postponed.

Following her departure from the company, Meghan and her husband Prince Harry signed a five-year contract with Netflix worth millions of pounds, due to renew in 2025. Meghan is due to start a new show soon, but it has not been made public whether her contract will be renewed next year.
Shortly after launching her line, Meghan announced she was working with the streaming giant on a series that “celebrates the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship,” according to the Express.
Meghan suffered a major blow last summer when her podcast, Archetypes, was axed by Spotify after just 12 episodes, despite a £15.5million deal.
