An accident involving a bus and a truck carrying corn on a highway in Zacatecas state in central Mexico. At least 24 people were killed and five injured as a result of the incident.
The accident occurred on Saturday morning in the central Mexican state of Zacatecas. At least 24 people were killed and five others were injured in the accident, Governor David Monreal said.
“All security and emergency services were on scene,” he said on social media.
The governor expressed his condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the accident.

The Mexican National Guard published photos of the accident on its website X. It shows an overturned car and corn kernels spilled on the road.
According to police at the scene, the truck's trailer detached and hit the bus, causing the driver to lose control and roll over.

Local media reported that all the injured were taken to a hospital in Zacatecas.
The road was closed after the accident. This bus was owned by the Mexican company Omnibus and went from Tepic to Ciudad Juarez.
