David Festa 4.5+ strikeouts (+120)
Cardinals vs. Twins | 8:10pm ET, Apple TV+
The Twins have right-hander David Festa in the mix, and he should be a good candidate to back up in this game. The rookie isn't expected to start his MLB tenure, but the underlying metrics are promising.
Even if you don't have faith in Fest, you can bet on his strikeout ability: If he were to qualify, the right-hander would rank in the top half of the league in strikeout rate, strikeout rate and strikeout rate.
His strikeout prop currently sits at 4.5, a number he has exceeded in five of his six career starts so far.
Trevor Larnach Hits over 0.5 (-235)
Cardinals vs. Twins | 8:10pm ET, Apple TV+
I'd also bet on a member of Minnesota's lineup getting a hit: Trevor Larnach, who is batting .253 this season.
Larnach is ranking in the 81st percentile or better in xwOBA, xBA, xSLG and average exit velocity. The former first-round draft pick has 16 hits in his last 16 games, batting .292 over that span.
Twins ML (-155)
Cardinals vs. Twins | 8:10pm ET, Apple TV+
If you root for Minnesota's starting pitchers and one of their top hitters, this game is likely to end in a Twins win.
Festas has a better strikeout and walk rate than Pallante, while the Twins' relievers have a better FIP and xFIP than the Cardinals. That leaves hitting, another Minnesota strength.
The Twins have more runs per game, hits per game, batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, OPS, home runs and stolen bases than St. Louis. Add in home-field advantage and Minnesota should win at Target Field.
