FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer player Taleigh Moody will represent Fiji at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia from Aug. 31 to Sept. 22.
Moody, a third-year forward who transferred from the University of San Diego, will be representing her mother's country for the first time in her career. Moody scored her first career goal in Thursday's 5-1 win over Nevada.

Fiji qualified for the U-20 World Cup for the first time in the country's history through the 2023 OFC U-19 Women's Championship. Fiji finished second in the group stage behind New Zealand. They defeated New Caledonia 1-0 in the quarterfinals and Samoa 3-1 in the semifinals to advance to the finals and secure an automatic berth. New Zealand defeated Fiji 7-0 in the final.
Fiji will open their U20 FIFA Women's World Cup group stage match against Brazil on Saturday, 31 August, before facing Canada (3 September) and France (6 September). Fiji will play all three group stage matches at Estadio Atanasio Giraldo in Medellin.
The top two teams from each group and the best four third-placed teams will advance to the round of 16 on 11 and 12 September. The winners of those matches will advance to the quarterfinals on 15 September, with the winner of that progressing to the semifinals on Wednesday 18 September. The third-place match will be played on 21 September, and the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Final will be played on 22 September.
1st Match: 31 August 2024 – Fiji vs Brazil – 18:00 (GMT-5) / 4:00 PM PST
Second leg: September 3, 2024 – Fiji vs Canada – 20:00 (GMT-5) / 6:00 PM PST
Game 3: September 6, 2024 – Fiji vs France – 17:00 (GMT-5) / 3:00 PM PST
All three games will be broadcast in the U.S. on Telemundo, with the Canada game also broadcast on FS2.
