In King County, more than 85,000 homes and businesses rely on septic systems every day to treat wastewater and protect our health. But what is a septic system? What happens when a septic system fails? And as more and more septic systems begin to fail, what will happen to our health and the environment? Finally, who responds to these emergencies and what supports them?
These questions and more are addressed in our new environmental health podcast, “Bridging the Gap.” Through storytelling, we aim to help people understand how environmental public health affects their daily lives and how we can all contribute to keeping our communities healthy.
